- Support for more diverse network environments.

- Added these enhancements to the REST API:
- New SimpliVity OmniStack REST API Getting Started Guide for learning how to use the REST API available at api.simplivity.com.
- New queries for REST version and datastore using the Hypervisor Management System (HMS) ID.
- New commands for copying and renaming backups.
- Added the following performance metrics for VMs and datacenters to match the metrics available in the SimpliVity Extension for vSphere Web Client: IOPS, Throughput, Latency
- Single query now returns all Federation objects when using vCenter in Linked-Mode.
- Ability to query the OmniCube host hardware information displayed in the Monitor > SimpliVity Hardware tab of the SimpliVity Extension for vSphere Web Client.
All other major changes will be added as they become GA (eg. RapidDR, All-Flash Model)
Atlantis – USX 3.5 Added [block]4[/block]
We added Atlantis USX 3.5 and related content changes/enhancements – summary of changes in USX 3.5:
64-bit USX Manager – Updating to USX 3.5 replaces the existing 32-bit USX Manager with an improved 64-bit USX Manager. Required disk space increased from 32 GB to 42 GB.
Change IP address – Change the IP address for USX Managers and simple volumes.
Health Checks:
- Pre-Deployment Check – Verifies that USX meets minimum configuration requirements and that components are accessible. Run the pre-deployment check before deploying volumes, or at any time as a health check.
- Pre-Upgrade Check – Verifies that upgrade prerequisites are satisfied before updating USX. The Pre-Upgrade Check is available after you deploy the 64-bit USX Manager, so you can run it before you upgrade USX.
Disaster Recovery for simple volumes – Recover USX infrastructure and simple volumes at a remote site. Refer to Atlantis USX High Availability and Disaster Recovery.
Simple volumes:
- Hypervisor Management – Use the Hypervisor Management screen to migrate simple volumes to another host with sufficient resources.
- Datastores for simple volumes – The volume deployment process has been enhanced so that you can place a volume’s OS and data on different datastores.
- Weighted selection of datastores for Simple Hybrid and Simple All Flash volumes – Use Weight OS and Weight Capacity fields to prioritize use of selected datastores.
- Prepend host names to volumes – During simple volume deployment, host names can be prepended to volume service names and volume VM names.
- Volume replication – Added Replicate Now option for volume replication.
- Snapshots – If snapshots are enabled when you deploy a volume, additional disk capacity is reserved to store the snapshots separately from the volume. This avoids situations where volume capacity is consumed by snapshots, resulting in the volume becoming inaccessible. The preference Snapshot reservation ratio (%) determines how much additional capacity is reserved for snapshots.
- XenServer 7.0 support – USX supports XenServer 7.0.
- VMware vSphere Essentials support – USX supports the VMware vSphere Essentials edition for USX deployments on up to three hypervisors.
Nutanix
- Nutanix has (once again) renamed its HCI platform, this time from XCP (Extreme Computing Platform) to ECP (Enterprise Cloud Platform).
- Updated the number of customers running Nutanix nodes in their data center.
- Included some major revisions in the available server hardware models, as all models now come in Hybrid and All-Flash variants (the All-Flash 9000 model is therefore retired).
- Added Cisco UCS as new server hardware platform.
Dell EMC – ScaleIO
- Renamed vendor from EMC to Dell EMC following the completion of the merger of the two companies.
