VMware vSphere: A Process Server can be scaled-up by adding CPUs and memory or scaled-out by adding additional Process Servers. There are currently three Process Server sizes:
- 4vCPU, 8GB RAM, 300GB Cache Disk, <250GB Change Rate, <85 Protected VMs.
- 8vCPU, 12GB RAM, 600GB Cache Disk, <1TB Change Rate, <150 Protected VMs.
- 16vCPU, 24GB RAM, 1TB Cache Disk, <2TB Change Rate, <225 Protected VMs.
A single Process Server can handle a daily change rate up to 2 TB. This means 2 TB is the maximum daily data change rate that is supported for a protected VM.
UR39 and up support a 20MBps change rate data churn) for P20/P30/P40 disks in VMware-to-Azure and Azure-to-Azure scenarios.
