A Group is a collection of VMs/machines that ASR protects together. One or more Groups can be configured to be part of a Recovery Plan.

In Azure Site Recovery (ASR) a test or live failover can be initiated on the VM/machine level or the Recovery Plan level involving at least one Group of VMs/machines.
