One or more steps can be added to the Recovery Plan to automate actions. These actions van be defined in Azure Automation runbooks or PowerShell scripts.

Types of automated tasks:
- Tasks on the Azure VM after failover
- Tasks inside the Azure VM after failover

For tasks that can’t be automated, pauses can be inserted to allow manual actions.
