Array-based: Depending on the storage manufacturer remote replication can either be monitored using the Storage Array GUI or from within the vSphere Web Client GUI if a extensive plugin is provided.

vSphere Replication (VR): Administrators can monitor some basic metrics from within the vSphere Client GUI (collection happens at 5 minute intervals):
- Transferred Bytes
- Replications Count
- RPO Violation Count
- Target Sites Count
- VR Sites Count
