The hypervisor cluster scale-out limits still apply eg. 64 hosts for VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V in a single cluster. Nutanix AHV clusters have no scaling limit.

SX1000 clusters scale to a maximum of 4 nodes per block and a maximum of 2 blocks is allowed, making for a total of 8 nodes.
