VMwares free-of-charge backup software that comes with any vSphere license, VMware vSphere Data Protection (VDP), has been declared End-of-Availability and is not supported for VMware vSphere 6.7 and up.
StarWind Virtual Tape Library Appliance (VTLA) which is available as pre-configured Appliance or as a software verion, another product in StarWinds portfolio, can be leveraged as a backup storage target by a large number of well-known backup applications. VTLA is also able to offload backups to a secondary backup repository by replicating them to public cloud targets. VTLA supports Amazon S3, Amazon Glacier, Azure blob (premium, hot, cool, archive), Backblaze B2, Wasabi, and IronMountain IronCloud.
